An Australian DIY enthusiast has impressed thousands online after sharing images of her incredible guest bathroom transformation.

Posting on Facebook, the room originally looked dull with a lack of colour and yellow shine from the ceiling lightbulb.

But with a lick of paint, the use of wooden panels on the back feature wall and an art print, the space was transformed into a modern style.

‘Love everyone’s little home renos. Here is our little toilet reno (not the most fascinating place I know!) Now I can happily send our guests to use the ‘guestroom’,’ Liis wrote.

In the comments Liis said she only used one Bunnings panel of timber for the wall and painted it black using Portmans Paint.

As the paint is an ‘expensive’ option, she suggested visiting Bunnings Warehouse for cheaper alternatives when working to a budget.

The floorboards were also removed and new grey tiles were installed to add to the modern style.

Liis said she and her husband completed the renovation together.

The print of the French bulldog reading a magazine can also be found on eBay for as a little as $5.65.

Within 12 hours the social media post was ‘liked’ more than 4,300 times and many considered the home project to be ‘inspiring’.

‘This is one of the best toilet renovations I’ve seen! It looks fantastic!’ one woman wrote.

‘Such a beautiful difference!! Love the black accent wall!’ another added.

‘Oh my gosh, what a transformation!’ a third said.
