Digital Fortress, a multi-tenant and wholesale data center provider with 10 facilities throughout the United States, has announced the immediate availability of hyperscale-ready space in Meadowville Technology Park. The LEED Gold Certified facility, which provides third-party servers and networking technology, is the company’s latest Tier III data center facility, featuring a 250,000-square-foot building. Brown Edwards has announced the addition of three new partners: Megan Argenbright and Matt Heatwole from the Harrisonburg office and Jared Brown from the Bristol office. Brown Edwards is a full-service regional accounting firm with offices in Virginia, West Virginia and Tennessee. Locally, the Brown Edwards office is located at 15871 City View Drive.

 

Funds advised by Searchlight Capital Partners L.P., a leading global private investment firm, announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Care Advantage, a leading at-home care provider in the United States. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Founded in 1988, Care Advantage offers in-home care services to patients across Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Delaware. The company’s personal care aides, certified nursing assistants, skilled nurses and therapists provide individuals and their families with the care they need from the comfort of their homes. Searchlight has acquired the business from BelHealth Investment Partners, a health care focused investment firm.

Local custom homebuilder Boone Homes has announced that The Villas at Swift Creek, a village-style active adult community consisting of 194 maintenance-included homes, is coming to Chesterfield. The Villas at Swift Creek will consist of 110 townhomes and 94 quad-style homes on 49.5 acres of land with 16 acres dedicated to recreational space. Boone Homes plans to introduce brand new, customizable floor plans, which will have first-floor living and design features for active adults age 55 and older. Boone Homes plans to begin development in spring of 2022 and open for sales in 2023. The Villas at Swift Creek is located on the corner of Woolridge Road and Otterdale Road near daily necessities, health care, restaurants and shops.
