Over the past 6 years Eileen and her husband Luke have renovated their 1930s home room by room. “Architecturally this house has been a story of getting back to its roots,” said Eileen. Boy, did they do that and so much more.

Like most old homes it has had reno after reno; a lot of them getting further away from the clean simple lines the house was first built with. Eileen likes to think that her job with this house was to “strip away the extraneous details to help let the original charm and simplicity shine.”

Eileen’s architecture degree, five years of experience working for an interior design firm, and her most recent career of being an antique and vintage furniture dealer (follow her at @eileenandco_ on instagram) really came in handy during their renovation. Eileen and Luke went room by room and made sure they did it right. The only thing they needed outside help with was the home’s bathroom situation. They called their best friends Chris and Lindsay of White Buffalo Homes to make all of Eileen’s bathroom dreams come true. Chris and Lindsay helped give this one bathroom home two more additional bathrooms — a game changer!
